Shiva Subramaniam is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in Emerging Market Credit. He currently serves as Managing Director at Latitude Capital, where he leads the firm’s emerging markets strategy and execution, aligning these efforts with its broader AUM growth objectives.
Before joining Latitude, Shiva spent over 15 years at BNP Paribas Global Markets in London. As Global Head of Emerging Market Credit Sales, he was a key member of the Global Foreign Exchange and Local Markets Executive Committee. In this role, he played a central part in shaping the firm’s global strategy for its emerging markets business.
Shiva began his career in Emerging Markets Sales at HSBC and joined Barclays Capital in 1998, where he spent seven years specializing in Macro and Credit Sales—further deepening his expertise and establishing a strong reputation in the space.
A Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Shiva combines strong technical proficiency with deep market insight. From 2017 to 2020, he also served on the board of the Emerging Markets Traders Association (EMTA) in New York, contributing to industry standards and governance.
